The President explained that this occasion represents a turning point in the history of Egypt, as it was not just the recovery of occupied land, but a decisive message confirming that the Egyptian state does not give up an inch of its land, and that rights are obtained through will, determination and diligent work.
He pointed out that Sinai represents a fundamental pillar of national security, and that the sacrifices of martyrs and the heroism of the armed forces, which continue to play their role in protecting the country and preserving its resources, have been recorded on its land.
The President paid tribute to the armed forces and the police, praising the role of the late President Mohamed Anwar Sadat, and commending the legal efforts that contributed to the recovery of Taba, stressing that the liberation epic was completed with the cooperation of all state institutions.
He stressed that the battle to reclaim the land has today turned into a march of construction and development, noting that Egypt has chosen to move forward on this path despite regional and international challenges, including the repercussions of global crises and their impact on the national economy.
He pointed out that the state has succeeded in maintaining stability amid a turbulent environment, thanks to the cohesion of the people and their efforts, while acknowledging the magnitude of the economic pressures facing citizens, and working continuously to alleviate them.
On the regional front, the President stressed that the Middle East is going through a critical phase, emphasizing Egypt’s rejection of any attempts to reshape the region on conflictual grounds, and calling for the adoption of political solutions and dialogue as a means to achieve stability.
